The Journey to a Worthy Goal

Worthy Goals

It takes dedication and hard work to accomplish the big goals in life. Self development is no different and is a journey not a destination. Once you have reached one goal, to keep growing and expanding you will then create a larger goal, a worthy goal, that will push you beyond your current limits.

Worthy Goal

The best part about this is, it will be an amazing journey and it will be FUN! You are accomplishing goals you want to set. This is your life so you should fill it with things you are passionate about. Why set a goal that doesn’t excite you. It doesn’t make anyones life better and only creates frustration for you.

How To Find A Worthy Goal

Think back to when you were younger. What did you love to do? Did you have any interests or passions? What activities excited you the most? These questions can help you get in touch with a goal that will bring you joy and get you excited to reach that goal. Write down any thoughts or ideas that pop into your head.

If you think about your life in the present, what do you love to do? Are there any activities that you get completely lost in? What are you most passionate about? Do you feel driven to accomplish something?

If you were at the end of your life and someone asked you if you had any regrets, what would you say? What would your life look like if you lived the life you want and fulfilled all your dreams?

Once again write down anything that comes to mind, no matter how small or crazy it seems.

Now looking at these items. Answer these questions for each item you wrote down.

  • Does pursuing this produce something of value to you?
  • Does thinking about this give you energy and make you excited?
  • Does pursuing this provide benefits for others equal to your own?
  • Does pursuing this allow for personal creativity and self development?

If you answer YES to at least 3 out of 4 of these questions it is probably a worthy goal and something that you should pursue and put energy towards. Now you should take account of how you currently spend your time.

Write down a list of your current daily activities and weekly activities. Are these helping or impeding you from reaching these goals. If they are impeding you, see if you can remove one of those activities and replace it with an activity that will help you reach your goal and live the life of your dreams.

Remember that this is your life and you get to decide how you want to live it. Don’t give up on your dreams!

Until next time, to your health and happiness!
